Online Therapy
I offer a confidential online service via Zoom or Google meets. While traditional in-person counselling offers a valuable service, online counselling can provide unique benefits that might make it a great fit for you.
Convenience and Flexibility: Schedule sessions at your own pace, from the
comfort and privacy of your own home. This can be especially helpful for busy
schedules, childcare needs, or those living in remote areas.
Reducing Stigma: Sometimes the act of going to a therapist's office can feel daunting. Online counselling allows you to address your concerns in a familiar and safe space, potentially making it easier to open up.
Accessibility: Online platforms can overcome limitations that might prevent you from attending in-person sessions, such as mobility issues or social anxiety.
But what about the quality of care?
Research shows that online counselling can be just as effective as traditional therapy for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I utilise various online methods to tailor our sessions to your needs, ensuring a supportive and productive environment.
If you're curious about how online counselling can support you, we can discuss this in an initial telephone conversation, and I can answer any questions you may have.
Online counselling would not be suitable if you know that there is serious risk of severely harming yourself or others, feel actively suicidal or have a history of severe mental health condition. In this case I would advise you to contact either your local GP or Health Professional, the Samaritans 08457 909090 or a local crisis centre in your area.
Therapy is a way to find the courage to face your fears and to live a more fulfilling life
